Psychologist

Nicole is a skilled psychologist with expertise in perinatal psychology and supporting the emotional wellbeing of individuals, couples and families during pre-conception, conception, pregnancy, childbirth, antenatal and postpartum stages. Nicole has specialised working in the fertility industry, assisting clients navigating IVF and the use of donor sperm, eggs, embryos and surrogacy. Nicole also has significant experience supporting adolescents and the LGBTQIA+ community.

Nicole has worked with a wide range of mental health issues including school/ university/ career stress, anxiety (social, worry/GAD, OCD, panic attacks), depression (postnatal), loss and grief, (bereavement, miscarriage/ infant loss), attachment and parenting, relationship difficulties (conflict management/ assertiveness, self-esteem/ self-image, gender/ identity issues, sleep/ insomnia and addiction (drug and alcohol).

Nicole has worked in both hospital settings and private rooms. Nicole has trained in multiple treatment modalities including Systems theory, Attachment theory, Schema therapy, CBT, ACT, EFT, DBT, Mindfulness and Motivational Interviewing, and she uses an eclectic evidence-based treatment approach.

Nicole completed her degree at Macquarie University with both undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications. Nicole conducted qualitative research at Macquarie University with adoptees on the psychosocial aspects of adoption and attachment and spoke at the National Adoption Conference. Nicole has assisted clients with various parenting options including adoption and foster care.

Nicole is passionate about forming genuine bonds with people. Nicole has an open, warm and approachable nature and practices in an empathetic, non-judgemental manner. Nicole loves supporting clients throughout their life so that they can live a full and best quality of life. Nicole acknowledges the significance of this work and feels it is a privilege to witness and be a part of one’s life.
